Reference
In line with the Exeter Diocese recruitment policy, St Matthias take up two references for all volunteers. The references need to be from a church leader, employer, teacher, lecturer or any other professional person who has known the applicant for at least 2 years. The applicant named in the email has applied to work as a volunteer with St Matthias and has given your name as a referee. We would be very grateful if you could complete the reference form as soon as possible. If you are a relative or spouse or have known the applicant for less than 6 months, then we regret that you are not eligible to provide a reference for them.
Sometimes referees, because of their desire to help an applicant, write an unrealistically positive reference. We would ask that you write as honest a reference as possible so that we can best support volunteers.
We are looking for people:
Who are enthusiastic and confident with a positive attitude.
With the capacity to work as part of a team under leadership and supervision.
